Around my birthday, I asked for monetary donations via Facebook. With that money, Generation2Generation Foundation Incorporation was able to become a partner with World Vision because we understand the Maslow Hierarchy of Needs. World Vision helps us provide the “Physiological needs”, personal hygiene products, household cleaning items, clothing, and school supplies.
We understand, without life’s basic needs behavioral problems, emotional problems and low self-esteem can be fueled. We want to make sure those who are learning through our organization have help with the basic needs.
Currently, we are a 100% volunteer organization. Every month I rent a U-Haul truck to pick up the Essential needs from World Vision.
Also, thank you for those who helped with the donation of school supplies that can go in the bookbags from World Vision. Also, keep those Lego pieces coming because they will be a huge help with the Engineering part of Generation2Generation.
I am in need of volunteers to go to World Vision with me once a month to pick up items. I will need volunteers to tutor, teach software development, and assist elderly secure their networks. This is only the beginning.
I am still in the process of developing the website and seeking a grant writer.
I am doing this while teaching and consulting. You will not and have not seen me out as much this Summer and this is why.
